The Enterprise Data Center - EDC is the base of our product The Enterprise Software Solution - ESS. It provides starndard functionality upon which ESS is built on. Entering EDC you will find three windows, the navigation tree on the left hand side, the status bar on the bottom, and the main working area as a tab control on the right side:

If you move you mouse to the upper left corner, the main toolbar appears. Some basic global functionality like
- Exit
- Preferences (system settings)
- Possibility to send mail with system information to the administrator
- Email import
- Open some CSV files in a list
- This help system
- Information splash screen
- Arranging detached windows
are available there. Moving the mouse to the lower left corner will open the calendar. Inside of the calendar following information is displayed:
- Bank holidays
- Birthdays of your contacts
- Private events like wedding day
- Calendar entries made in you main calendar
The + sign on the upper left corner opens the calendar dialog, on which you can enter private events and select which events should be displayed in the calendar. With the mouse wheel as well as drag and drop you may navigate forward and backward.
