In order to work offline you first need to install the offline version. This is quite simple, just open the property page and click "Offline Installation".
The button for installing the offline version is on the property page.
The system will prompt you for the installation directory. Choose any directory you like. It than starts installation as a background task, which means that you may continue working in the meanwhile. After successfully finishing installation you will be prompted again.
The key for working offline is synchonisation. In the toolbar you find a synchronisation button. This button only appears when started as a standalone application on you computer, not from a browser. It also has a "online" button on the left hand side next to it. This is a toggle button, if pressed, all succeeding calls to open a profile or to refresh will retrieve data directly from the server. The same icon is displayed on the left lower corner of the opened view, to indicate that you are working with data retrieved from the server.

The dialog shows all tables which may be synchonised. Choose some of them or just click the button which synchonises all tables. Typically, you will synchronise all tables at once, regardless of what you are interessted specifically right now. Selective replication is useful in cases where huge tables with tons of data slow down synchronisation speed.

All of your changes will be sent to the server, changes of other people are retrieved. Additionally you may let the system start the replication after login and/or before logout automatically.
